Happy Halloween!

We went to the library and then had Halloween rotations through the different classrooms. Thanks so much to everyone that helped out!


"Today it was fun when we went to other classrooms," said Jordyn.

"I liked that today was my birthday," said Nicole.

Thursday is such a busy day for Room 125. We went to music and computer lab. Tomorrow we have library and then our Halloween celebration where we are going to go to the different first grade classes for activities. Please remember to wear orange and black tomorrow. Library books and homework are also due tomorrow.

Sydney said, "I liked when we went to the computer lab and made the haunted house."

"I liked when I did all of my work and I liked getting caught being good," said Royce.

Halloween Parade

Today was our Halloween Parade. Everyone was wearing such great costumes! If you took pictures please post them at our shutterfly account.

Just a reminder, Friday is our last day for our scholastic book order.

We got a new homework packet. There is no spelling this week or new sight words. Please use this week to review the sight words. Check out the sight word games posted.

Check out the new sight word games I created on Quia. The matching game and word search are really fun. The concentration game is a bit challenging, but many students are up the challenge. What a great way to practice our sight words!

Adam said, "I liked when I got to go to the front of the line at lunch."

"It was fun when we did the math test," said Dylan.

Isabella said, "I liked painting the spiders."

Dylan said, "I liked when we wrote the numbers 1-100."

"I liked when we went to the computer lab," said Royce.

"I liked when we saw Royce get his ball," said Alyssa.

"It was fun when we shared our pen pal folders," said Maya.

"I liked when we did the season page," said Amanda.

A homework packet, a letter about our spelling tests, and our first anthology literature book all went home today. Please return the homework packet and the anthology book on Friday. There are lots of fun stories to share in the anthology, we enjoyed reading them in class. Students should be reading 10-20 minutes a night. Today we also had a eight legged visitor- Morgan the tarantula.
