Thanks Mrs. Lofton. The water temperature actually felt pretty good after waiting for the race to begin in 45 degree weather. I hope you are enjoying the last days of summer.
Wow! I am so impressed with you and your husband! Holy cow! One time I swam in my neighbor's pool for 10 minutes and I was exhausted! Swimming is a lot of work! You swam for an hour and 26 minutes! YOU are some athlete!
I had a wonderful summer filled with adventures and a house project. (I'm still edging my living room!) One exciting adventure was I got to attend the Google Geo Institute! It was fun to be at Google and learn about some geography tools to use in the classroom.
I look forward to doing some projects with our classes this year!
Your pal, Mrs. Yollis
P.S. Your music choice for the PhotoPeach was perfect!
Wow, you are the first person from our class to comment on the blog! Yippee!
The race was very long and challenging, but Donner lake is beautiful, so it was worth it. I'm not sure who won the race, but I know that they finished in 55 minutes. That's fast!
Dear Mrs. Yollis, Thank you so much for the comment. Sorry for taking that long before publishing it ;-) I still have much to learn in the blogging world.
I'm so impressed with your accomplishment, Mrs. Levy! I can't imagine how you dealt with that freezing cold water! I really enjoyed the movie.

Dear Mrs. Levy,
ReplyDeleteThe race looked like it was hard. Were you very tired after?
Do you know who won the race?

Dear Mrs. Levy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your Donner Lake race! Wow! You must be in wonderful shape to do that type of a long distance swim. How often do you swim?
I used to go up to that area often when I was younger. It sure is beautiful and your post brought back some very fond memories.
I look forward to meeting you at Back to School night.
Sincerely,
Shannon
