Friends

In a couple of weeks we will be reading one of my favorite books about friendship Frog And Toad Are Friends.  As most people know, Frog and Toad are unlikely friends.  Frog likes to be adventurous and happy. Toad tends to stay home and can be kind of grumpy.  In each story, Frog and Toad are faced with a challenge but somehow find a way to solve their problem, usually by working together.  In first grade we talk a lot about what it means to be a friend.  Today some friends dressed alike as "twins" and some of us found a "twin" that we didn't know we had.

What do you think makes a good friend?

  1. Frog and Toad remind me of us. I think you know who the Toad would be!

  4. Thank you for all of the comments!

@Mr Levy - you would definitely be Toad, though you like to exercise more than I imagine Toad does.

@Collin- yes even people that didn't mean to dress like a twin found one on Twin Day. Did you dress up?

@Mrs. McEvoy- I feel lucky to have a friend like you <3

    Happy Memorial Day!

  6. Hi pen pals! :)

A good friend is someone who will stand by you no matter what. They will understand your choices even if they don't agree, and they will try to help with life's problems.

    Dear Mrs. Levy,

I love your post! I remember reading Frog and Toad! It was one of my favorite books! I participated in Twin's Day and had a great time being "triplets" with my good friends Annie and Sasha. We wore the exact same shirt, shorts, leggings, necklace, and earings.

I stand by all of my friends no matter what. One of my best friends Sasha, sprained her ackelize and she had a boot on for about a month! Every day I would go to the nurse with her instead of going to recess. Whenever we stay home from school sick, we call each other to see how we are feeling and what is wrong with them.

I think that it is very important to have good friends that you can lean on.
