  2. Hi Nicholas,

Thanks for the comment. I'm scared of snakes too, especially rattlesnakes. Have you ever seen a rattlesnake?

  3. Mrs. Levy,
Yes, I have seen 2 in our backyard. Guess what, the last snake I saw over the summer was a rattlesnake. He had eaten an egg from a nest that had fallen from a tree in our backyard. We saw the shape of the egg in the baby rattler after my dad killed it. I guess the snake smelled the egg and was hungry.

  4. My biggest fear is narrow-minded people. A narrow-minded person is someone whose mind is made up before he knows all the information. I wish the world was full of open-minded people. :-) Mrs. McEvoy

  5. Dear Mrs. Levy,
I am absolutely terrified of spiders! They're so clever that they can hide in small places. And, I hate the feeling of their little hairy, sharp legs. Once, a spider came out of my shirt and ran all over my arm! It made me feel sick that a spider had been in my clothes the whole time! Agh! Oh, and Happy Halloween everyone!

  6. My biggest fears are of snakes and sharks! The thought of a shark and their big teeth make me shiver!! I am also very scared of natural disasters. They can happen anywhere and are very damaging. I hope everyone has an amazing Halloween!! I loved hearing from Emili today!

  7. My biggest fear is the dark! It scares me because I can't see what's around me.I grew up sleeping with a night light and still can't sleep without it. What are you guys dressing up as for Halloween? Hope you have a great Halloween!

  10. My biggest phobia is needles. The narrow yet sharp object makes me cringe. I dislike the instant pain that needles can give. I hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween filled with lots of delicious candy! :)

  11. My biggest fears are spiders and bugs. I don't like the fact that they can bite you and crawl all over you. I also fear mosquitos! This summer I went to Israel and I got bit by over 100 mosquitos! I was itchy for weeks. :( Anyways, I hope you all have a great Halloween, filled with fun, and of course candy!:)

  12. My biggest fears are snakes and spiders! I don't like how they both move because they are very sly. I also am not a fan of scary movies! Lighting is not very scary, unless you are being struck by it! Have an amazing Halloween filled with friends, candy and spooky stories!

  14. I actually think lightning is kind of pretty. I am scared of spiders and all bugs bigger than the size of a penny. I am absolutely terrified of snakes. Once I was walking home from school and next the side walk there was a huge snake! I ran all the way home screaming. It was terrifying! Happy Halloween!
    Love always,

  16. Although they seem to be scary to most people, I find ghosts to be quite interesting. I don't see them as scary evil spirits that haunt everyone, I believe that they were just ordinary people like you and me. Now spiders and snakes, don't get me started. They are one of the most horrible and scary things out there! Just seeing a spider on a wall or outside makes my bones shiver. Other than that, I LOVE Halloween. I hope you all have an amazing and fun Halloween too!!!

  17. Hmmm what am I afraid of? SPIDERS....
If I see a spider in my room, I literally will NOT be able to sleep unless I find it and kill it!!

I'm also a bit scared and uncomfortable in elevators. When I was little, I was at a hotel and saw firemen struggling to help an elderly woman out of an elevator that had gotten stuck when she was trying to get to her room. Ever since then, I have honestly been a little afraid everytime I step into an elevator!

    Anyways,
Happy eaɾɭy Haɭɭøweeɳ, and I'd love to know what you guys are going to dress up as this year :)

  18. One of the biggest fears I have is the unknown. But you can't live your hiding behind fear. I don't think it is healthy to live that way. You have to try to live your life to the fullest you can, without doing anything too irresponsible.

  19. Hi everyone, Allison here, Sam's pen pal:). I have to say my biggest fear is scary movies! Even though I don't believe in the saying "seeing is believing," whenever I see something in the movies I feel like for someone to be able to think up a movie scene, the things that happen in the scene have to be somewhat possible.

    Happy Halloween,
    Allison

    1. Thanks for the comment Roman. We have a tarantula, T.J. that Mr. Levy keeps in his classroom usually. This past week I brought her into class to share. I would never hold her, but my son and Mr. Levy do.

  21. What scares me the most is a fast pitcher with no control of his pitches. They are the most likely to hit you with a pitch and then you get a big bruise on the spot where the ball hit. Oh, and Giants fans.
    Happy Halloween,

    1. Hi Troy,
Have you been hit by a fast ball? I am sure it would hurt!

The only fans I'm afraid of are the Trojans. Go Bruins :-)

  22. Hi everyone, I would have to say my biggest fear is letting people down. I know that my grandpa was a hard-working man and rarely let people down and I truly believe that I get this from him. I work hard toward something and will do my best to achieve that goal. A message to Mrs. Levy's 1st grade students, you should always set goals to achieve but don't make them too much to handle and set yourself up to fail.

  23. Hey everyone! My biggest fear is snakes, but I heard it is good for you to do one thing a day that scares you! Where I live there are many snakes, once I even stepped on one! There are lots of things that scare me, but everytime I overcome a fear it is a great feeling. Can't wait to hear from all of you!

  24. Hey everyone! I'm probably most scared of dolls, which I'm sure sounds ridiculous but they have always scared me! There is something about them that is so creepy--I feel as if they are secretly alive. The worst doll is definitely Chuckie, because I watched his horror movies! Yuck! I get the chills just thinking about it! Wouldn't it be great if we could all overcome our fears this Halloween?
    Happy Halloween!

  26. Thanks for all the comments.

I am very afraid of earthquakes and caves/ tunnels. Every summer we go to Donner Lake for a race across the lake. There are historic old train tunnels that my family likes to visit, but I can't go through them. http://cprr.org/Museum/Summit_Tunnel_1999/index.html I also get very freaked out by caves.

  30. Hi everyone. This is Nathan. I am Pasha's pen pal. It has been very difficult to get my messages on the blog, but I finally got it thanks to my pal Ilana. So I would like to say that I am terrified of most reptiles. During Halloween I love to dress up in my costume and go to parties. This year I am going to buy a white shirt, write the word life on it, and I am going to hand people lemons. If you don't get this, it is from a phrase that is "when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade." Once again, hello and sorry for the delay.
    Sincerely,
    Nathan Grubin

  31. Dear Mrs. Levy

It's your last year student Shayna. I really miss you as a teacher, but I like my teacher now too. I see you a lot on campas, so I thought it will be good to leave a comment on your blog

I didn't even know you had a blog, but now I do. I'd love to join your chats! I wonder how many posts there are. So far this year, did you have any swimming tournaments?

    Your friend,
