Read to Self

For the past few days we have been working hard on reading to ourselves from our book boxes.  In "read to self" we have certain behaviors that allow us to become better readers and increase our stamina.  Today we made it to 6 minutes of stamina.

Below are some pictures of today's "read to self" and sentences explaining our "read to self" rules.

"Logan is reading quietly," grinned David.

"Matthew and Ariana are reading in their heads," noted Nolan.

"Olivia, Harper, Valeria are reading the whole time," exclaimed Ryan.

"Baxter is reading because it's fun," related Jaslene.

"We are reading to become better readers," roared Leslie.

What were you reading during today's "read to self" time?

  1. Marjan (Ariana's mom)September 15, 2014 at 4:57 PM

Ariana was reading The Snowy Day.

  2. Brianna was reading because "it makes me think."

  3. Brianna says that what makes a friend is someone that supports you and someone that you can laugh with.

  4. Dear Mrs. Levy's Class,

Good job on increasing your stamina! We worked on our stamina too. We reached our goal of 15 minutes. What is your goal?
