Today we had two important visitors.  The first was Max's spotted gecko Spot.

The second was Mrs. McEvoy from Calabasas High School.  She talked to us about her Freshman class who are going to be our pen pals this year.

Then we got to write our first pen pals letters.

What was your favorite part of the day?

  1. Teddi said, "my favorite part was running on the grass."

"Seeing Max's pet lizard was my favorite part," said Sophia S.

Dylan explained, "I liked when the lizard ran under me."

  2. I liked playing with Tristan and I liked seeing the lizard!

  3. Hi Mrs. Levy. This is Sophia S. I really like school and the lizard visitor this week. On my way home today I saw a deer family! There was the daddy deer with huge antlers and a mommy and a fawn. I have seen deer before in Calabasas but not an entire deer family. I wanted you to know what I saw. That's it.

  4. Dear Mrs. Levy,

I think it is really cool that someone brought in a spoted gecko. Do you know if it is a boy or a girl? A couple weeks ago Someone in my class named Grace brought in her pet Bullfrog named Goober. He was a baby. He also got to stay for the whole day of school. At the end of the day we made a cage out of are legs and let Goober out. He leaped on my leg and slid down to my shoe.

    Your former stundent,

  5. @ Sophia, I love seeing deer. Seeing a family of deer is a special treat indeed! When I was up in Donner lake this summer I saw a family of deer.

@Collin, Thanks for the comment and your story about Goober :-) I'm not sure if Spot is a boy or a girl. I learned that he/she is nocturnal, friendly and ate crickets rolled in calcium powder. Do you have any pets?

    Your former teacher,
    Mrs. Levy
