Buddy Reading

We have been practicing reading to ourselves for a few weeks now.  Some important rules about reading to yourself are: 

  1. Read in your head.
  2. Read the whole time.
  3. Stay in one place.
  4. No talking.
Today was very exciting because we introduced "Buddy Reading."  Students could choose to read with a classmate, read to themselves or read with one of our stuffed buddies.   They did an amazing job and had fun too.

    This is a great post. I love seeing children reading. We try to do The Daily Five in my classroom, too. Thanks for sharing what you do.
